"I have been working at GFR Media full-time for less than a year Cons: Too much hours of work. The culture there is to work, work, work no matter how late it is on the night. A lot of peole keep doing it because the are afraid to be fired since the company is downsizing every frew months. The IT processes are very disorganized and there is no structure."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at GFR Media full-time for more than 10 years Cons: It's been known for years now that GFR Media is throwing its employees under the bus. Awful managers, frequent clashes with the Union, downsizing for "economic reasons" and immediately rehiring for a fraction of the cost, no direction, moody and at times hysterical bosses, a culture of fear... all the while presenting themselves like the saviors and pioneers of journalism on Puerto Rico. Right now, they're blaming Hurricane Maria for their losses and cutting benefits, hours, vacation, sick days and threatening to fire 100+ people. And they'll do it, regardless of Union or local laws."

says

"I worked at GFR Media Cons: Where to begin, horrible coworkers, no team oriented and impossible to grow as a professional. New owner and CEO with different values, after a mass layoff is not worth it anymore to work there."

Current Employee - Reporter says

"I have been working at GFR Media full-time for more than 10 years Cons: After a while, it became obvious that favoritism trumped talent. Some employees seemed enthroned in their stations and treated the rest like minions. Work became repetitive and unchallenging and any talk of trying new things was perceived as mutiny. I quickly learned that there was no real sense of direction or leadership. The bullying is rampant and encouraged by management, even spurred by them. Everyone is looked at as an enemy or a boss' pet. There's no middle ground and no one to talk to about this."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at GFR Media full-time Cons: I worked there for 5 months and the only thing I have to show for it is on my resume on interviews they ask me who they are and why was I there for such a short time. They bearly hire any young people that can do jobs a bit more efficient and they have older employees that don't want to learn how to use a computer more efficient in 2018. They throw you under the bus to save their butts if necessary."

says

"I worked at GFR Media for more than 10 years Cons: A lot of real Talented people has been "expulsed" just for money matters. Excess of new graduates that can't cope with the digital medium. The fusion of Primera Hora and El Nuevo Dia plus the creation of Indice have created a chaos. They want to monopolize everything, Uncertain future."

Former Employee - Business Manager says

"I worked at GFR Media full-time for more than 3 years Cons: The merge of the two newspapers brought a lot of conflict between the personnel, a lot of negative energy , people are not happy."

Former Employee - Marketing Specialist says

"I worked at GFR Media full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Too many changes. Management turnover"

Former Employee - Software Developer says

"I worked at GFR Media full-time for more than 5 years Cons: 1. Don't pick the right tools to do the job. Try to push new, untested technologies just because management wants to make some random technology they bought to look good. 2. Every few months they lay off hundred of employees because they can't deal with the digital transformation and the fact that newspapers don't sell anymore."

Former Employee - Senior Accountant says

"I worked at GFR Media full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Horrible Human Resources Department Officers"
